Installation Recommendations

Guidelines concerning installation of wall and ceiling profiles from Deflex, series 22/P and 23/W

Installation should begin from arranging and moving of the clamps in the grooves of the profile edges
Place and arrange the clamps, adapting their number to the subsurface type.
Prepare subsurface for installation, clean and even out.
The subsurface layer, where the profile is to be installed, must be even, smooth, without any contaminations.
Subsequently, place the profile with the installed clamps at the installation spot. Pressing down on the profile with the hand, install the clamps so that the profile adheres precisely to the subsurface.

 

DEFLEX 22/P

As standard, one assumes nine clamps. The clamp number may be increased depending on the subsurface type.

 

DEFLEX 23/W

As standard, four clamps are assumed for an aluminium profile, and five clamps for a PVC profile. The number of clamps may be increased depending on the subsurface type.

 

Indications concerning the installation of wall and ceiling profiles from Deflex, series 318, 326, 397, 398

The subsurface layer, where the profile is to be installed, must be even, smooth, without any contaminations.
If possible, the installation should be commenced from top, meaning, from the upper end of the expansion slit. In order to avoid slipping of the inlay or any deformations during the first metre or two, depress the inlay every 10-20 cm to press it into the leading channels of the aluminium profile, so that it does not slip out under its own weight.
Subsequently, insert from the bottom further profiles, and install them to the surface with bolts.
The first rail may be affixed by:
- screws,
- glue and screws,
- glue (only on building/structure interiors).
During installation, note for the inlay to be installed properly adhering to the dimension S (visible profile width on the surface).
In the end, properly place the subsequent rails and affix them just like the first rail. The side rail stubs should be flushed with a liquid allowing slip, by virtue of which installation of the inlay will be much easier.
For installation, use thrust bolts appropriate for the subsurface, and stainless steel screws.
For expansion slits under four metres in length, use aluminium profile joining, with the inlay being trimmed to size and installed in one piece.
In case of particularly long expansion slits, join the inlays through butt welding to maintain their seal.
