The main use of earthquake-resistant expansion profiles is protecting expansion joints in buildings founded on areas where mining has caused underground damage. The profiles are characterised by very good abilities of transfer both vertical as well as horizontal compensation movements, and, accordingly, also with a high coverage width. In most cases, the profiles are made of aluminium and is equipped with synthetic-material beams, the task of which is sealing the profile and transferring compensation movements. Numerous advantages, such as, among others, aesthetics, are the cause for which they enjoy great approval both from investors as well as from designers.
