NEG Type non-reinforced elastomer slip spacers

Product description

The type NEG non-reinforced elastomer slip spacers are point components manufactured from polychloroprene (CR) or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, the POM slip panel, a teflon coat and a foam flange. They are utilised as bearings for stays, beams, joists, ceilings, for shift values up to ± 20 mm and for tension values up to 5 N/mm2. Thanks to a perfect selection of slip materials constituting the spacer, the friction coefficient is minimised, while at the same time appropriate bearing properties are maintained.

Slip elastomer spacers compensate horizontal shifts of the supported component by free slip panel movement over the PTFE-clad elastomer surface. At the same time, they ensure transfer of loads and equalisation of assumption-compliant rotation of the structure on the support component, with simultaneous reduction of unevenness on the bearing surfaces.

The type NEG non-reinforced elastomer slip spacers are manufactured as square, rectangular or circular plates, with holes or without holes. Any possible openings are manufactured: in the elastomer core - circular opening; in the slip panel - oval opening, appropriate for the shift direction.

Type NEG spacers are manufactured in any given dimensions. The minimum elastomer core size is 100 mm x 100 mm.

 

Technical and assembly remarks

Elastomer spacers must be placed on support components close to the reinforcement bars of the support component.

Non-reinforced elastomer spacers are used primarily wherever no dynamic loads arise. For dynamic loads, reinforced elastomer bearings should be installed.

Band spacers with elastomer core, type TDG 27 SZ

Product description

The type TDG 27 SZ linear spacers are band slip spacers, composed of an EPDM-based vulcanised rubber core and filler foam. The spacer also has a double-layer HDPE-based slip film with a layer of Renolit Fol 2 lubricant, and in addition the entire composition is laminated to ensure protection during transport and installation.
They are foreseen for bearing of flat roofs, ceilings, beams and joists. These spacers allow free movement of slabs and beams of up to ± 20 mm, for tension force values up to 2 N/mm2. They prevent the emergence of rifts caused by horizontal shifts, they protect the edges of the support surface from excess load, and they counteract the emergence of rifts caused by walls slanting.

These spacers are used for supporting monolithic reinforced concrete components and precast parts.
By placing the linear spacer with an elastomer core in the centre of the support area, i. e. the wall (core axis must ideally match the wall axis), the load from the supported component, i. e. the ceiling, is transferred just to the support component axis.

The type TDG 27 SZ non-reinforced elastomer slip spacers are manufactured as rectangular plates.

Technical and assembly hints

Elastomer spacers must be placed on support components close to the reinforcement bars of the support component. Spacers should be installed with the elastomer core downwards.

 

Fire resistance characteristics

The non-reinforced linear elastomer spacers hold fire examination certificate no. LPP01-1256/12/200NP conducted by the Fire Research Department of the Polish Building Research Institute. According to the test report, the line spacers conform to the requirements for fire resistance class REI 120. When choosing spacers, one needs to consider the scope of spacer damage/degradation according to the table included in the Technical Approval, available at the website www.betomax.pl in the Downloads section.
