The MTW 72 is the basic mounting trolley type, foreseen for works on the side surfaces of a bridge deck plate. For this purpose, it is equipped with a work platform suspended on a boom, which allows lowering the work platform even directly below the deck plate. For the purpose of balancing out the work platform weight, including workers and equipment. the moving trolley is equipped with a counterweight in the form of concrete ballast. Allowable load depending on the installation position of the work platform on the boom, is 500 kg in position I and in position II (limit position) - 350 kg. The height of the moving trolley is adjustable.

The MTW 72 MGB mounting trolley is adapted for works executed between bridge spans. Its structure is based on the same moving trolley as the MTW 72 model, however the work platform is constructed differently, providing the ability of work between bridge plates by suspending it from the boom using specialised flanges. The trolley is installed at the bridge part or at the abutment, where use of scaffolding is possible. Installation of the work platform takes place by elevating it on ropes from the underside of the structure, and attaching it to the MTW 72 moving trolley bearing arm by screws. Personnel access to the work platform takes place directly from the scaffolding. Thanks to the use of devices preventing swivelling of the platform, in the form of thrust wheels, employees may remain on the platform when the trolley is in motion. They should, however, remain in constant contact with the personnel responsible for moving the trolley. The work platform is available in the following sizes: 1,5 x 3,0 m and 2,0 x 3,0 m.

The mounting trolley in the middle position is adapted for work carried out between bridge spans. This trolley is similar to the MTW 72 MGB model, however the structure of the moving trolley allows its movement on both bridge deck plates. The work platform is installed in the middle part of the moving trolley, thanks to which the system requires no ballast. The installation takes place in a similar fashion as in case of the MTW 72 MGB trolley, through elevation of the work platform on ropes from the underside of the structure, and by attaching it to the moving trolley. The difference in levels between the two bridge deck plates may be alleviated by utilising appropriate wheel extensions.
Work platforms with the following dimensions are available: 1,5 x 3,0 m and 2,0 x 3,0 m.
