Product description

Muro-Bet anchoring sets are used for the joining of masonry components with concrete components. The set is composed of an anchor rail filled with styrofoam (removed after deassembly of the formwork) and asymmetric slide anchors. The anchor rails are installed in concrete or reinforced concrete components. The flat bar anchors are embedded from the side of the lock (in dovetail form) in the anchor rails, with the other end embedded in the joints of masonry components.
Metal components of the set are made out of galvanised steel type DX51D+Z200 per standard PN-EN 10346, with continuous coating.
The devices were designed and manufactured according to standard PN-EN 845-1:2003+A1:2008 - 'Specification for ancillary components for masonry - Part 1: Anchors, anchor rails, hangers and brackets.
The Muro-Bet anchor set was analysed and evaluated at the Department of Building Construction Elements and Building Structures on Mining Areas of the Polish Building Research Institute in Warsaw. Laboratory tests were conducted at the Fasteners & Building Products Testing Laboratory of the Katowice branch of the Building Research Institute

Usage

The anchor rail and flat bar anchor set is used to join concrete components with masonry components.
Masonry walls, filler walls in framework steel and concrete structures, divider walls or facade walls in multi-layer structures may be installed successfully in this way.
There should be a distance of at least 75 mm between the anchor rail and the edge of the concrete component. The anchor rail should be nailed to the formwork every 250 mm. For each metre of wall height, four flat bar anchors should be used. Minimum anchoring for the flat bar anchors should be 67 mm, irrespective of their nominal lengths.

LOAD BEARING CAPACITIES OF FLAT BAR ANCHORS

An important parameter of the components of the Muro-Bet system is the load horizontal and vertical shear resistance. This stems from the fact that in most cases, these anchors may be subjected to shearing due to the conditions of working of the framework structure with the shielding filler.

Shear resistance of flat bar anchors

The shear resistance values for flat bar anchors were determined pursuant to recommendations of Polish Standard PN-EN 845-1:2003, and the values were confirmed through laboratory tests. The effective anchor length of the 120 type flat bar anchor was at hef=117 during the tests.

Compression resistance of flat bar anchors

The compression resistance (along the axis of symmetry) values for flat bar anchors were determined pursuant to guidelines of Polish Standard PN-EN 845-1:2003. The point of application of the influence on the flat bar anchor with respect to the installation rail was, for the 120 type anchor, tfix = 50 mm, and for the 240 type anchor - tfix = 100 mm. Mean resistance values were indicated in the table below.
