Concrete Penetrating Sealers

Colorfresh Intensiv penetrating sealers

Product description
The Colorfresh Intensiv sealer is foreseen as a means of protection of all kinds of concrete surfaces. It counteracts carbonisation, protects against blooms, prevents collection of contaminants. Thanks to the use of Colorfresh, rain water will cause the protected part to clean itself. It is water-resistant, increases resistance to frost and high salt concentrations in the air and rain water.
Colorfresh Intensiv is the only sealer known on the market, which may be used both on humid (directly after formwork removal) or dry surfaces. Its other advantages are great resistance to ultra-violet rays, and complete bio-degradability in case of proper use.

Usage
Used as a means of protection of structures made of mineral-based materials, i. e. façades made of concrete, natural stone, bricks, cobblestone pavements, walkway tiles and all other concrete products. The hydrophobing action of the Colorfresh Intensiv preparation protects the surfaces against environmental influences, contamination, moss overgrowth, blooms, carbonisation, dirt and grime, etc. Colorfresh Intensiv may also be used to renovate old surfaces.

Effectiveness/storage
Economy - approx. 120 g/sq m, depending on surface adsorption.
Store in spaces protected against frost.
Shelf life: 12 months.

Mode of use
The surfaces to be protected must be clean, free of dust and dirt. The Intensive sealing compound may be applied using a paint roller, a paint brush or a spray device. Average consumption runs usually to 120 g/m2, and it may be slightly higher only in case of very adsorptive surfaces. If protecting vertical surfaces, the amount of applied Colorfresh Intensiv preparation must be low enough so that it does not flow downwards on the surface. Apply from the top down.
When protecting horizontal surfaces, do not allow puddles to form. Any components not to be covered (i. e. windows) must be shielded. For approx. 3-5 hours from application of the liquid on the surface, do not walk on it, and the surface should be protected against rain, snow and freezing for 24 hours. Water does not permeate a surface protected in this way (see figure below). After the sample is exposed to atmospheric influences, the differences are clearly visible, and deposit shows on the right (unprotected side), whereby on the left side, the colour is very vibrant (sample protected by Colorfresh Intensiv).
The durability of Colorfresh Intensiv varies depending on how often the surface is used and cleaned, and it ranges between two and 10 years. Should you notice that the level of protection deteriorates, clean the surface once again and apply the product anew.
Note:
Do not use Colorfresh Intensiv in temperatures below 5 °C.

Colortec Rapid concrete sealer

Product description
Colortec Rapid is a hydrophobic sealer, which was devised especially with use on concrete from freshly removed formwork in mind. This product is a new item among sealers, because up to now, sealing concrete components with formwork freshly removed from surfaces was only possible using products creating a shiny surface. Colortec Rapid is the first sealer, which does not leave a shine in case of such use, and which does not change the natural concrete surface colour. The Colortec Rapid sealer is safe, contains no solvents, and it is simple to use in particular on decorative concrete.
Colortec Rapid allows diffusion of water vapour. It may thus be used on pre-cast concrete surfaces or on concrete surfaces poured at the construction site. Colortec Rapid is invisible, because layout roughness spots do not at the same time cause colour changes. The sealer may be used in a simple way using automatic spray devices. There are no extra costs stemming from additionally required workmanship or in order to maintain the required concrete drying times, thanks to which sealing may also be applied at the precasting plant.
Colortec Rapid effectively protects against primary and secondary blooms, common contaminations, surface weathering or discolouration in case of coloured concrete. Its remaining advantages are high resistance to UV rays, great breathability and related high durability, as well as environmentally-friendly safe usage.

Usage
The Colortec Rapid sealer may be used on concrete wall surfaces from which formwork was freshly removed, precast concrete components, i. e. bridge abutments, concrete noise barriers, and in particularly walls of coloured concrete. Colortec Rapid protects i. e. against common contaminations, blooms, effects of frost, weathering, colour loss. It may be used inside in spaces and outside. For processed concrete surfaces, i. e. stream-finished surfaces, washed surfaces or surfaces processed using acid, the product Colortec Max is recommended.

Mode of use
Colortec Rapid is best applied using an appropriate spray device on vertical surfaces using one pass. After application, the surfaces should remain for at least 24 hours in a dry room in positive temperature. The reaction time ranges from 24 hours to seven days. Options of reaction with possible remnants of anti-adhesive compounds should be tested for.

Efficiency/storage
Efficiency is approx. 120-150 g/sq m, depending on surface permeability.
Store in positive temperature, in tightly sealed original container, up to six months.

Note!
Initial trials are necessary. Do not use if temperature is below +5 °C. Due to the great variety of working conditions, effectiveness may not be guaranteed for each case of use.
Final effect
The figures show the component, on which Colortec Rapid was used (left product side in the images). The image on the right shows the Colortec Rapid effect - water flows on the left side of the concrete component, and on the right side it sinks into the component shown.

Colortec Max sealer

Mode of use
Usable both on dry as well as humid surfaces, they must be adsorptive and free of contaminants, as well as not frozen. Usable both on horizontal as well as vertical surfaces. Before application, old or weathered concrete slabs, brick slabs or natural stone slabs must be thoroughly cleaned with the Steinreiniger liquid, and after cleaning they must be flushed with copious amounts of water. Colortex Max is applied within one working cycle through spraying or painting. Note for the surface to be soaked well and equally.
The durability of Colortex Max impregnation depends for the most part on the degree of utilisation of the surface, the mode and frequency of cleaning, and is between two and 10 years. Should excess wear of the compound on the treated surface be discovered, cleaning and re-application of a Colortex Max layer is recommended. The product should not be used at temperatures below +5 °C.
In case of use of the compound for façade concrete, an initial trial needs to be conducted to test possible reactions with remnants of formwork oils or adhesive products, or alternatively, the Colortec Rapid product should be used. In case of finely polished surfaces or low-absorption natural stone, check during an initial trial, whether the surface is sufficiently adsorptive.
Concrete surfaces should not contain any hydrophobic additives (sealers). Water-soluble products, not hazardous, contains no solvents. To achieve surface shine, use the Colorfresh Intensiv sealer. Practical initial trials are recommended before use.

Efficiency/storage
Efficiency is approx. 200 ml/sq m depending on surface adsorptiveness.
Store in tightly closed original containers, durability approx. 12 months. Protect against frost.

Prowall sealer

Product description
The Prowall I and II sealers are special ready mixes based on natural waxes, which protect façades against painting over and contaminations. Prowall I is manufactured based on nitro solvent, and Prowall II is water-soluble. Prowall is a single-compound product, it is applied easily and without hassle, dries out leaving practically no traces, and has hydrophobic qualities. Water vapour permeability through the relevant surface is altered only slightly (15-20%).
The workload during cleaning of contaminated surfaces was minimised (surfaces may be cleaned with a pressure cleaner), no special cleansers are necessary. No changes were discovered after long-term influence of weather conditions, and on this basis, the product may be classified as resistant to UV light.

Usage
Prowall sealers are used for masonry, natural or artificial stone and concrete façades, painted and varnished surfaces.

Mode of use
The Prowall products should be applied onto dry surfaces with a paintbrush, a painting brush, a paint roller or a spray gun. If the surfaces are adsorptive, a further layer is required, whereby the first one should not be allowed to dry. From surfaces protected in this way, any kinds of contaminations may be easily removed with the use of high-pressure cleaners. After every cleaning procedure, the surface should be covered with a new layer of the product.

Note!
In case of temperatures below +10 °C, the use of the Prowall I product is recommended.

Effectiveness/storage
Effectiveness is approx. 100-300 g/sq m, depending on surface adsorptiveness.
Keep tightly closed, durability is unlimited. Keep in a cool room.

Note!
For the removal of graffiti from unprotected surfaces we recommend our Prowall-Parolenentferner product. Initial trials are necessary. Due to greatly variable work conditions, no warranty for every case of use may be given.
Hygiene certificate: HK/B/0155/02/99

Final result
The thus protected surface are easy to clean from paint using a pressure washer. After each cleaning procedure, the Prowall protective coat needs to be applied again.

Note!
In case of temperatures below +10 °C, the use of the Prowall I product is recommended.
